Ex Curia International and The ADR Board, NLSIU release comments on the Draft Mediation Bill, 2021.

Ex Curia International is pleased to announce its collaboration with The Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, NLSIU, Bengaluru for providing feedback and comments on the Draft Mediation Bill, 2021, which was released by the Ministry of Justice, India. While NLS’s student panel provided the feedback and comments, the feedback and comments were reviewed by ECI’s stellar board of advisors from more than 35 countries. ECI takes great pride in this collaboration and hopes to use its resources for the better benefit and promotion of ADR across the world. Compilation of ECI Shorts for December!

A new report by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) tracks case-related trends over the 2021 fiscal year. It was noticed that the balance of women and men appointed as arbitrators, conciliators and ad hoc committees improved in FY2021. Women accounted for 31% of appointments, compared with 14% in FY2020 and 24% in FY2019. ICSID is the world’s leading institution devoted to international investmentdispute settlement. It has extensive experience in this field, having administered the majority of all international investment cases. States have agreed on ICSID as a forum for investor-State dispute settlement in most international investment treaties and in numerous investment laws and contracts. Jay Treaty, (November 19, 1794), agreement that assuaged antagonisms between the United States and Great Britain, established a base upon which America could build a sound national economy, and assured its commercial prosperity.
